We have a steam engine and train that is just “sitting” in our depot just outside Eugene, Oregon. We live in California and seldom go there anymore. We would like to find a new home for it, where steam enthusiasts could work on it and get it into running condition again.
It is the 4th and last one built by Winton Engineering in the 1960’s:
2-6-0 Mogul
3 “ scale
15 gauge
Also: a coal car, a box car, a flat-bed car w/propane tank, 2 passenger cars, an unfinished caboose, a switcher – Kohler K91S engine (electric starting), 4 HP at 4000 RPM, 2 switches, ¼ mile of track.
We used to run it every summer for many years for our family, but the kids have grown up and moved away.
It is a beautiful thing (pin striping, etc.) and it is a shame that it cannot be enjoyed by some club or person who loves steam engines.
